HOW TO BUY

1. LOCATING YOUR FIREARM(S)
1. Visit our Links' page click on the link of the manufacturer of the firearm you want to buy - research the exact model, finish, caliber/gauge and other options.
2. Email sales@copperheadfirearms.com or fax (337-857-6870) with your firearm requirements.
3. Once your firearm has been located, we will send a confirmation and price quote that will be good for five (5) business days.
4. When you are ready to purchase the firearm, we require written confirmation via fax or email.
   Verbal commitments will not be accepted.
   
   
2. PURCHASING YOUR FIREARM(S)
1. We require a 25% non-refundable deposit before the order is placed. (Out-of-state purchases are tax exempt. In-state purchases are taxed at buyer's applicable tax rate.)
2. We accept Certified Check or Money Order.
3. After receipt of the deposit, the firearm will be ordered.
4. If the firearm is not available, you have the option of being placed on a waiting list or having your deposit returned.
5. Once we have received your firearm, you will be notified to make final payment.
6. If you are local, arrangements will be made for pickup and payment.
7. If the purchasing party is not local to us, then a transfer of the firearm will have to be arranged.
8. For Non-local Purchases:
1. We must receive the FFL (Federal Firearms License) of the dealer who will receive the firearm in your area. The dealer's license must be faxed to our office. The license must be signed and dated.
2. This dealer will be contacted by us to insure they will accept the firearm for you.
   
   
3. FIREARM(S) TRANSFERS
1. All firearm transactions and shipments are made between licensed dealers, unless the purchasing party is local to us.
2. Once the transaction is complete and payment is received, Copperhead Firearms will ship the firearm to the licensed dealer you have designated. That dealer handles the required paperwork (ATF Form 4473) and the background criminal check (NICS) as prescribed by law.
3. All fees imposed by that dealer are borne by the buyer. Please check fees with your dealer before any transactions.
4. Once you have completed the Form 4473 and have passed the NICS background check, and paid the licensed dealer for his transfer fee, you may take possession of your new firearm.
   
   
   WE CANNOT SHIP A FIREARM TO A NON-LICENSED PERSON!
   
   
4. SHIPPING THE FIREARM(S)
1. All firearms will be sent out fully insured via FedEx Ground with tracking numbers. SHIPPING IS A FLAT RATE OF $20.00 PER FIREARM FOR THE LOWER 48 STATES UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE. Special rates apply to shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.
2. If you receive an item that is damaged, please have your tracking number ready and contact the shipper directly to place a claim. Please retain all boxing and shipping materials as they may need to be inspected prior to a claim being settled. Copperhead Firearms will be happy to assist you with contacting the shipper, but will not be held financially responsible for the item or its replacement cost. With the purchase of insurance, the buyer assumes all risk associated with shipping damage. Any and all shipping charges are non-refundable.
